The Time now seems surmountable

This is the "cave" without the Young Men's Willy.  We moved the 1955 Willy to Rob Baer's house and now I can clean up the shop and put the rest of the toys away.  We have enough things to do that I cannot provide support to the two year project of building the Willy.  It just needs final connection to fire it up and then the finish body and paint work.  It has been a very interesting project and a memorable experience.  I told Rob that he could pick us up at the airport in the Willy when we return.  I am betting it will still not be finished.  Oh well.
The next weeks are quite full with final details.  We finish our shots next week and then off to Utah for Alec's baptism and meetings with the humanitarian folks in SLC.  Then Mavis comes for 10 days and September will be past.
What is really amazing is that we are getting more anxious to go and not even concerned about the experience.  We are to say the least excited.
It was fun to read this month's Ensign and see another article on senior missionaries.  I truly feel like we have made the right choice in our lives and have a strong conviction that we are doing the right thing for the right reasons.  It really is a blessing that we are able to serve.  Of course we will miss our family, but unfortunately we do not see them much anyway so it will not be a huge change.
We have drawn up our wills and created a power of attorney.  There must be something we are forgetting, but we do have a long list of details to complete.  Someone should write a pamphlet to prepare us old folks for leaving our homes for extended periods.
Just a quick update on Turkey if you are not following the news.  It is anticipated that over 100,000 people have set up refugee camps inside the Turkish border just across from Syria.  Allepo, Syria is just a few kilometers from Turkey.  Of course this is still a long way from Istanbul, but we are going into a unique world situation.  Syrian forces have fired on the refugee camps from the Syrian side so bullets have entered Turkey.  Our Turkish language teacher had the opportunity to meet with Elder Russell Nelson regarding the plan for getting the Elders back into Istanbul.  We only know the meeting was held, but do not know what was discussed or planned.  We just hope nothing interferes with our travel.
