Two weeks and waiting

We are down to our last two weeks at home.  I guess it is really just 12 days because we will leave a couple of days early to visit with Cami before we enter the MTC on Nov. 5.  We spoke in church last week and had a fantastic week with friends and family.  I bore my testimony in Turkish and hope I got it somewhat correct, but figured that no one there had any idea whether I was right or wrong.
Nori with the help of the kids put together HalThankMas and we celebrated a day of halloween, a day of thanksgiving and Christmas day.  We wrapped it up with a visit to the Temple and truly enjoyed ourselves.  It was really nice, but hard to say goodbye to Derek and his family for the final time.  We also gave up Maggie as she boarded the plane with the Washington Weavers to spend the next 18 months.  It is so strange to wake up without Maggie and then come home to an empty house with no happy dog to greet us.
It seems that things are evolving in Turkey.  We will arrive for the first ever WHO (World Health Organization) training with the university physical therapy students.  This is a five day event that begins the evolution of wheel chair training in Turkey with the government assuming an expanded role to support the local population.
We also found out that meetings have been held with representatives from the Prime Ministers office to work with an expanded program to provide supplies and support to the Syrian refugees.  We do not know the details, but we assume that this will become an immediate priority.
We have a lot of basic details to conclude and then expect to be ready.  Of course we are not so sure as to what we will be ready for, but we trust that we will be guided to accomplish what ever is the right thing.
This is such a great opportunity and I am anxious to serve.
